Joel Hassler, CFA

Joel Hassler is a Founding Partner of Bluespring Wealth Midwest and a Wealth Advisor in Milwaukee. He brings more than thirty years of experience as an analyst and portfolio manager to the families he advises. His experience and analytical approach to investing and planning helps clients to manage emotional decision making and, instead, focus on a path that promotes long-term success.

Joel joined Charter Capital in 1993 as an investment analyst after serving as an associate analyst with Kemper Securities, where he followed the capital goods and specialty chemical industries. At Charter he earned the CFA charter, served as analyst and officer for the Charter Capital Blue Chip Growth Fund, was named President in 2008, and became a principal owner of the firm in 2012. In 2025 he led Charter into its partnership with Bluespring Wealth Partners, and in 2026 the firm combined with its Madison and Minneapolis partners to form Bluespring Wealth Midwest.

Joel earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Milwaukee.

Outside of the office, Joel enjoys staying active and spending time with his wife Lori and their two children, Blake and Brenna.
